This is considered the best beach in Tenerife Island, located north of the village of San Andres, part of the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital.
Years ago it was divided into three separate beaches. White sands were brought from the nearby Sahara Desert and spread over the original black sands. There is a man-made breaker to protect the beach from the waves and the erosion of the sands.
The beach provides all kind of amenities like toilets, showers and changing rooms besides bars and restaurants. It is by far the most visited beach in Tenerife.
Playa Jardin on the Island of Tenerife Canary Islands
As the name Jardin suggest there are many gardens around the beach as an idea of talented artist Cesar Manrique of the Canary Islands. The beach is located in Puerto La Cruz in the north of Tenerife. The waters are sometimes rough and may not be suitable for inexperienced swimmers.
While enjoying the soft colored sands of this beach you may enjoy the view of Tenerife’s Mount Teide Volcano. But those less lazy may enjoy many water sports like pedaling and water-skiing.
This is not a beach, but a group of beaches in Costa el Medano. It is located on the south coast near the Tenerife Southern Airport. It features some of the best beaches of Tenerife like Playa de la Tejita and many more coves or calas in Spanish around the coast.
This area is ideal for windsurfing or kite surfing featuring all kind of competitions on these fields.
This beach is located in the northern coast of Tenerife near the town of Los Realejos. It is a black sand beach of volcanic origin very much liked by surfers offering competitions on this field. It is a long beach with all facilities for the whole family like bars and restaurants.
This is also a Blue Flag beach assuring you of its cleanliness and high standards of services.
This beach is located near the north coast resort of La Orotava near Puerto la Cruz. Some consider it the most beautiful beach in Tenerife with fine black sands. It is not easy to get there because you have to leave the car and go down on a steep hill to the beach. It is a laid back beach where you won’t find much to do besides relaxing and sun tanning.

This golden sand beach is located in the southern part of the Island of Tenerife on the Costa Adeje. The ambiance here is sophisticated and elegant.

The prestigious status of Blue Flag has been awarded to Playa del Duque for its cleanliness and high standards. Enjoy a walk on the golden sands and a great swim on the warm waters of the southern coast.

Playa los Cristianos in Tenerife ideal for a Family Reunion
Close to Playa del Duque this southern coast resort becomes very busy during peak season, but once there you will notice that the facilities are excellent. This 400 meters long beach is perfect for a family get together.
This is a long beach located in the south of the Island between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. The waters are calm making it ideal for families with small children. They feature a fountain shooting salt water high into the air to the delight of children and adults alike.
