Murcia Beaches are located in the Costa Cálida, along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The area of Murcia is one of the least known areas for beaches in Spain. But people are discovering this beautiful rocky area and starting to visit here more frequently. That said we understand that prices in the area are lower than the rest of the Spanish Beaches. We are going to “visit” a few of the best beaches of Murcia.

This is a salt water lagoon called in Spanish Albufera located off the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the Murcia Region. It is the largest of those in Spain and has an immense marine life that is being protected for future generations of tourists. This is not a beach, but many Beaches are located on its shores.
It is located in San Pedro de Pinatar in the Region of Murcia. It is near the mud baths and salt mines of the Salinas Nature Park and the sand stretches of San Pedro de Pinatar.
The sands covering a region close to 3 km are of volcanic origin with clear waters. It has been designated as a Blue Flag Beach for its mild waters. There are some inexpensive accommodations and a few restaurants in the vicinity.
Cala Cortina near Cartagena Spain in the Region of Murcia
This is a calm sandy beach in the area near Cartagena Spain. This beach has been recently regenerated and is well equipped with many amenities such as playgrounds for children, bars and restaurants.
There are a couple of breakwaters offshore to maintain the waters calm and perfect for swimming.
This is one more Blue Flag Murcia Beaches located on the Mar Menor in the area of Los Alcazars. It is 800 meters long with a width of 20 meters. The sands are dark as in many beaches of this area, and the waters are calm, ideal for a great day of swimming.
This beach has lots of amenities like sun beds and umbrellas. The renting of yachts and equipment for water sports is also available on the beach. Lifeguards and Police guard this beach for the benefit of locals and visitors alike.
Euromanga Beach in the area of Mar Menor in Murcia
This sandy beach with great calm waters is located on La Manga stretch where La Manga Club is located. The sands are golden stretching for 1,800 meters, although not so wide.
The beach is also located on the shores of Mar Menor and has enough places to stay besides restaurants and bars.
This beach is in a residential area of the city of Cartagena Spain in the Region of Murcia. It is practically a cove surrounded by lush vegetation. The beach is made of gravel and the waters are so clear that you may see your toes as you dip into these warm Mediterranean waters.
Cala las Mulas is a private Nudist Beach in Murcia Spain
This is a nudist beach with a lot of privacy. It is located near Cartagena in the Costa Cálida. It is a rustic beach with golden sands and calm waters but with no amenities.
It is an isolated beach more than 1 km long with calm waters. It is somewhat not so crowded like the rest of this area beaches.
La Calera is located near Cartagena and the San Gines Beach. They are both made of gravel and feature a few amenities such as showers and toilets. It also has a few restaurants and bars. During peak times they also have lifeguards and facilities for water sports
This beach of the Costa Cálida is well developed and sometimes quiet crowded. The beach stretches for 1,800 meters and the sands are golden. The waters are calm. There are many inexpensive hotels and hostels and also bars and restaurants.
There are hundreds of Beaches in the Region of Murcia. I just mentioned a few in order to illustrate my readers.
