Phinikoudes Beach is a typical family beach
This beach is for everyone in the family. It is near various commercial and shopping centers to fulfill all your needs.
The beach is lined by beautiful palm trees which is the translation of its name, that add to the scenery of calm and relaxation. Its facilities include lifeguard on duty, water sports, changing rooms and toilets and the rental of sunbeds and umbrellas
Phinikoudes is the main tourist strip of Larnaca, backed by high rise hotels and lined with tourist shops, bars, beachside taverns and plenty of car parking. All kind of international establishments like Starbucks and McDonalds can be found on that strip.
McKenzie Beach a few minutes from Larnaca Airport
Only a few minutes’ drive from Larnaca Airport, this is a very popular one of Larnaca Beaches.
The beach offers great facilities for scuba diving and all kind of water sports facilities. The waters are cool and refreshing. There are many affordable shops all over this beach, so don’t worry for food because you’ll find something for your taste and budget.
The beach is also packed with hotels, restaurants and bars along the promenade and the large municipal car parking lot.
The beach is of fine white sand, flat, and very long. The waters are shallow, making it ideal for families with small children. It has all facilities for a cool and nice day at the beach.
This is a small beach some seven km south of Larnaca. The beach faces south east and the waters start shallow but go very deep quickly, making it unsafe for families with children, but is ideal for those trying to escape from the big crowds.
A small taverna provides the basic need for the beach goers, besides showers, sunbeds and all basic facilities.
This is a Blue Wave beach near the Dhekelia road and close to Larnaca port and is surrounded by trees and verdant foliage.
This sandy beach is quiet narrow and drops deep into the sea. They have sunbeds and umbrellas, showers and changing rooms with toilets. There is ample parking and a restaurant. This beach doesn’t offer lifeguard service.
Yannathes Beach on the Bay or Larnaca

It is located in the Oroklini area, about 8 km northeast of Larnaca. It is very recommended for families with children because of its Blue Flag Status and reef protected waters.
It is the ideal place for Cyprus diving, there are a few scuba diving centers, besides all facilities like showers, changing rooms, snack bars and restaurants.
Castella Beach one of Larnaca Beaches
This is a short and narrow beach with spectacular fine grey sands, making it a hot destination for tourists visiting the area.
Located south of Phinikoudes is this beautiful Castella Beach, about 15-minute walk from Larnaca downtown. It takes its name from the Castle of Larnaca, and its facing east facing the protected marina wall on the north.
The sea is shallow, therefore great for families with small children, where lifeguards are on duty on the peak summer season. There are the restaurants and cafes as expected of an urban beach as well as the usual water sports.
Located east of Yannathes on the main Dhekelia road, this small and deep beach is flanked by white sands. It has a large beach bar in the middle of the beach surrounded by sun beds and umbrellas.
The man made rocky reef barrier ensures gentle waves for the swimmers. This beach has all facilities and plenty of parking.
It is also known as Pylo Beach or CTO beach for the initials of Cyprus Tourism Organization. It is a nice stretch of golden sands located after Dassoudi Beach. The fine sands and shallow waters attract the families with small children. There are plenty facilities on this beach.
Faros Beach a popular of Larnaca Beaches
The waters of this beach are constantly tested and cleaned for safety. It has a volley ball court for those who wish to enjoy a friendly competition under the baking sun. During the summer months there are many sun beds and umbrellas waiting for the many visitors.
The waters are crystal clear and cool and the lifeguards are always there during summer.
The best Larnaca hotels are nearby on Kiti Cape, the best Larnaca can offer for tourists. It is located just 12 km south of Larnaca Airport.
Dhekelia Beach also called Golden Beach in Larnaca
Also called Golden Beach is the best stretch of beach in this area, that is often overlooked by three large hotel complexes that dominate the skyline.
The two manmade reefs protect the beach from the large waves making it like two small sheltered sea pools between them.
This place is full of all kind of tourist’s facilities, like water sports, showers, changing rooms, toilets and of course restaurants, bars and taverns.
