The largest island in the Adriatic Sea

The island, located near Rijeka on the mainland is about 410 sq km in territory and a perimeter of about 200 km of shoreline.

It is the closest island to the mainland and therefore an easy to access tourist spot for visitors from the rest of Europe.

Since 1980 a 1.6 km long bridge was built to connect Krk to the mainland making its access even easier.

It is an island full of surprises and beautiful beaches; a thousand years old towns and small rural villages with quite restaurants and bars.

But let me stick to what I know best, and show you best of Krk Island Beaches.

A few of the beaches have been awarded the “Blue Flag” due to its services and cleanliness.

Others less developed don’t have the blue flag but are equally clean and with the purest waters of the Adriatic.

Most of the Croatia Beaches you will see are also ideal for Croatia Scuba Diving.
