The Island of Kos Greece is one of the Sporades Group of the Dodecanese Greek Islands. It is a tiny island located about 4 km from the Turkish Coast of Bodrum.

Its main town is Kos Town. Its beaches like the rest of the Greek Island Beaches are idyllic. It gets many charters from all over Europe direct to its beaches.  From Israel there are constant packages of All Inclusive Vacations to Kos. Here are the best Kos Beaches.

Kardamena Beach

This beach, located in the south of the island is a perfect beach. It’s a sandy beach with crystal clear shallow waters. The beach is well organized and offers all amenities of sun beds umbrellas, accommodations, tavernas, bars and restaurants. Kardamena is very popular with locals and tourists alike, especially with families with children.

Mastichari Beach

Also spelled Mastihari is located 28 km of Kos Town. Is a beach blessed by fine white sands and turquoise waters and good conditions for surfing. This is a small port connecting the island to nearby Island of Kalymnos. It features many restaurants and inexpensive accommodations in the proximity of the port. From here it is possible to take a day tour by boat to the islet of Pserimos.

Kefalos beach

This long and sandy beach is a cove on the south west of the island about 40 km from Kos Town.

As you enter the beach you’ll see a tiny and picturesque island called Kastri Islet.

Lambi Beach

This is the closest beach to Kos Town. It offers all the amenities like sun beds and umbrellas besides many other water sports facilities.

There are restaurants and bars in the vicinity.

Marmari Beach

This beach is located between Mastihari and Tigaki on the northern side of the island about 19 km from Kos Town.

This is a very popular beach.

Kamari Beach

This beach is located on the western side of Kos. It is characterized by huge cliffs arousing from the waters on both sides of the cove.

The village of Kefalos is nearby.

It is recognized as one of most beautiful beaches of Kos with crystal clear and cold waters on a sandy stretch of beach.

It has good conditions for windsurfing and offers all amenities expected from this nice beach.

Paradise Beach

Also known as Paradeisos, this beach is located in the south western part of the island of Kos. It is actually a large cove surrounded by vegetation. It gets very popular during the high season.

Psalidi Beach

This is a picturesque and popular beach located 3 km from Kos Town. It features a few good bars and restaurants.

Thermes

Also called Therma, this beach about 12 km from Kos Town is something very particular. Its sands are black pebbles and its water very hot due to some hot volcanic springs gushing out from the big rocks surrounding the beach. People come here to enjoy the beach even in low season due to the high temperature of the water.

Marmari Limnaria

This beach is known as a great windsurfing spot on the island. The northern winds create these conditions and people flock to this beach for that sport. The beach offers sun beds and umbrellas and tavernas and restaurants.

Tigaki Beach

Tigaki is a long stretch of fine sands with crystal clear and shallow waters ideal for families with small children. They offer all amenities the crowd may expect. This area being close to Kos Town offers inexpensive accommodations besides tavernas and restaurants.

Psalidi Ramira

Very near Kos Town is this beach of pebbles and clear waters. It is close to Kos town and offers all kind of hotels and restaurants.

  • Psilos Gremos located on the Gulf of Kefalos offers Watersports facilities
  • Town beach is at walking distance from Town with many hotels
  • Agios Fokas is by itself a tourist resort near Kos Twon with all facilities
  • Agios Stefanos is a long sandy beach ideal for families with children
  • Lagades is also located on the Gulf of Kefalos. It is less organized.
  • Lambi Mylos is part of larger Lambi Beach, well organized beach.
  • Limnionas is organized with sun beds and umbrellas and is a laid back beach.
  • Polemi means magic features calm waters and fine sands.

The beaches of Kos Greece like the rest of the Greek Island Beaches are idyllic. This small Island is one of the Sporades Group of the Dodecanese Islands across the shores of Turkey.
