Gran Canaria Beaches are some of the Best in Spain. The Canary Islands are located off the coast of Africa. They are an archipelago of 7 islands and 6 islets.
For government purposes they are divided into two provinces, Las Palmas on the east with 3 islands, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
On the west is the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 4 islands, Tenerife, La Palma Island, La Gomera and El Hierro.
The Canary Islands are an integral part of Spain despite the distance from the Iberian Peninsula. Because of its latitude they feature some of the Best Beaches in Europe and a mild warm weather all year round.

Playa de Puerto Rico
In honor to its namesake, my beautiful island of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, it is the warmest spot on Gran Canaria. It features a beautiful beach with a great selection of water sports that range from jet skiing and sailing to diving, fishing and windsurfing.
It is a family oriented resort with lots of children games and activities in the golden sand. The Atlantic waters are warm and a constant breeze cools the weather to make it excellent for a great beach holiday.
The resort has public pool located near the beach and a garden of tropical vegetation and flowers. In Puerto Rico you’ll find many amenities, like showers, sun beds and more, to enjoy its crescent shaped beach with sands brought all the way from neighboring Sahara Desert. This is a real paradise for sun worshipers.
Playa de los Amadores
This beach, translated to English means “Lovers Beach” is located a few minutes’ walk from Puerto Rico. It is a half mile cove of golden beach protected from the sea.
The waters are crystal clear. Since ball playing is not allowed on this beach it is good for families with small children. It has a variety of restaurants and bars.
