Isla Saona offshore of Dominican Republic
Dominican Republic Beaches on the East Coast
Isla Saona
Located within Parque Nacional Del Este, Isla Saona is one of the southeast coast’s most popular tourist destinations. It is a dream beach. I consider this beach to be the ideal Romantic Getaway in the Dominican Republic
Playa Bavaro
Together with Punta Cana it seems like a long stretch beach. Bavaro is a separate beach bordered by an array of All Inclusive Resorts.
Punta Cana Beaches are awe inspiring
Punta Cana Dominican Republic
Punta Cana is perhaps, the Dominican Republic most world renowned beach. It has a great concentration of All Inclusive Punta Cana Resorts, each featuring its own beach facilities.
It is bordered by coconut palm trees on all of its 30 miles of exotic beaches. Being such a large beach it allows many sports of all kinds like beach volley ball or para-sailing to mention a few.
Punta Cana and Bavaro Beach have become an ideal destination for Caribbean Weddings and Honeymoons.
Great
memories of friends and family in Playa Minitas Casa de Campo
Playa Minitas
This is the beach that serves Casa de Campo . We have visited Casa de Campo many times. Playa Minitas can be reached with hotel transportation or by yourself on the golf cart provided to each suite guests.
I feel like taking my cart and sipping one of those Minita’s Piña Colada served inside a huge Pineapple
Playa Dominicus
This beach is popular for scuba divers and snorkelers due to the presence of large coral reefs.
Playa Bayahibe
This beach is next to Dominicus. Both beaches feature many All Inclusive Resorts.
Isla Catalina
This tiny island is only six square miles. It features the best coral reef in the area. Many tourists come to the island for a day tour of Scuba Diving and for plain relaxation.
Boca Chica Dominican Republic near the Capital Santo Domingo
Dominican Beaches on the South Central Coast
Boca Chica
Boca Chica beach is near the capital city of Santo Domingo and is very popular with local residents. It is great for families with kids, because the waters are shallow. It also features many eateries.
Playa Juan Dolio
This beach next to Boca Chica, doesn’t offer such a good beach and therefore it’s no so busy. It hosts many resorts, restaurants and bars.

Playa Pedernales near the Haitian Border
Dominican Republic Beaches on the South Western Coast
Playa Pedernales
This beach is near the Haitian border, close to the fishing village of Pedernales. It is a delight to watch the boats with fishermen coming back to shore with their catches.
San Rafael
This beach is located south of the city of Barahona. It is very popular among locals. Besides being a beach with strong surf it features a natural swimming pool made by nature of a waterfall running down from nearby mountains.
