Best Beaches in the USA
From Sea to Shining Sea

Here we are talking about the Best Beaches in the USA. I am basing my humble information on having visited most of them, but mainly by researching the Travel magazines and beaches reviewers like Dr. Beach, who is the undisputable authority when it comes to beaches.

They are not presented in any particular order because for me they are all “Numero Uno”. My readers may disagree and please let me know if I have omitted any details or any beach that you think I should’ve mentioned. The best beaches of the country are mainly on the eastern and western coasts of the USA and of course on the beautiful State of Hawaii.

The waters are warm and great for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving around the coral rocks and caves. This great sandy beach is also used for volley ball games. Because of its proximity to Sarasota it becomes quite busy, so it is recommended to arrive early.

  • Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park in Key Biscayne, Florida

Key Biscayne is practically in Miami where I lived for 14 years. We used to take the grandchildren for days at this magnificent beach. This is where Spanish Explorer Ponce de Leon first landed in 1513 and thought that he had found the “Fountain of Youth”.

Today part of Key Biscayne is home to high class residences and condominiums. But it is open to everyone and the parks offer lots of entertainment for the family besides inexpensive place where to eat.  The sands are white and soft as baby powder and stretch for more than two miles.

From here you may reach the historic Key Biscayne Lighthouse, climb the more than 100 steps to the top and watch from there the skyscrapers of the City of Miami as well as the beaches of Key Biscayne and Biscayne Bay.
