Best Beaches of Barcelona
• Barceloneta Beach
Barcelona is known for its sandy beach and my nightclubs and restaurants in the boardwalk. It has the advantage of being the closest beach to city center, and therefore it is more crowded trying to accommodate such an amount of beach-goers in such a small place.
If you walk through Las Ramblas Barcelona and get to the end you still have like 15 minutes walk to the beach. Some will take the metro direct to the beach. This beach has been named as the best urban beach in the world.
I wouldn’t go so far, but it’s still a great beach to go when in Barcelona. The restaurants offer the best catch of the day and this is a real treat. Your delicious fish with an ever present cup of wine will be the best compliment to a day at this beach.
I must mention that lately there have been some controversies about the quality of the sand at this beach and the authorities of Barcelona are taking care of this matter.
