The Andaman Islands lie on the Bay of Bengal between India on the west and Myanmar and Thailand on the east. Nicobar Islands are located to the south. It is an Indian Territory divided into two groups of islands the Andaman on the north and south of them the Nicobar.

The main Andamans are Land Fall Island, Middle Andaman, South Andaman, Port Blair and Little Andaman.

The Nicobar Islands are Car Nicobar, Great Nicobar, Chowra, Teresa, Nancowrie, Katchal and Little Nicobar.

There are many beaches near Mayabunder, but Karmatang is the best of them and more recognized among locals. The sandy beach is surrounded by lush vegetation.
